1. Choose a Jasper Template

Give a title to your article

Next, you’ll be prompted to enter a title for your article.

You’ll have the option of either writing your own title or having Jasper do it for you by clicking “Generate title”. If you don’t like the ideas it generates, click “Generate more ideas”. Here are some titles Jasper generated for our article on “how to start an online business”

Choose any interesting headline that fits the content you’re creating. For this example, we have selected “How to Start an Online Business: The Ultimate Guide”.

Write an introduction paragraph

The introduction paragraph is so important because it sets the tone for the rest of the article. Once again, you can either write your own intro or have Jasper AI do it for you.

Simply click “Generate ideas” beneath the “Introduction paragraph” area to generate an intro paragraph that is tailored to your topic. Here’s what it looks like:

As you can see, Jasper AI came up with two different introductory lines for the topic. You can select any of them or click “Generate more ideas” to create more introductory paragraphs.

Your writing setup is complete once you’ve gone through the steps above. You’ll be directed to a page that summarizes all your input so far, as well a button that says “open editor”. Here’s what the page looks like:

Click “open editor” to begin working on the article. Once it’s open, you’ll see your article set up on the left side panel, including the title, content brief, tone of voice, and keywords. Pro Tip: Once you’ve completed your entire writing setup, as shown above, make an outline for each topic you want to cover in the article. That way, Jasper knows exactly what it needs to focus on. Often times when writing without an outline, Jasper will generate content that is not entirely relevant to what you want to cover in your article. That is a proven approach to writing better articles using Jasper AI.

You can write the outline yourself or use the Jasper “Blog Post Outline” template to rapidly generate lists and outlines for your articles, as shown below.

To access the blog post outline template from your editor, first click on “Power mode” at the top center of the page. Next, select the Blog Post Outline template, type in the blog post title, then click the “Generate AI content” button to get an outline for your content right away. Here’s what it looks like:

If you don’t like the outlines generated, you can always use the “Generate AI content” button in the Blog Post Outline template to generate more outlines for your article. Copy and paste your article’s outline into the editor once you’ve decided on one.

Once you have your article’s outline in the editor, it’s time to put Jasper to work and begin filling it in with relevant content. You can come out of “power mode” and go into “focus mode” by clicking the button at the top center of the page.

Place your mouse cursor beneath the topic that you want to start writing on (from your outline), and then press the “compose button”. Jasper will fill it in with content for you automatically.

You can also help Jasper out by adding your own sentences (or paragraphs) here and there. That will give it a cue on what it needs to focus on.

Now all you have to do is sit back and let Jasper create the material for you. If you don’t like the content that Jasper generates, you can always use the “Erase last output” button to delete it and replace it with a new version of the content.

When you’re satisfied with the output generated for a topic in your outline, simply place your mouse cursor beneath the next outline topic and repeat the process. Jasper always starts writing from where the mouse cursor is placed.
